Local Storage: Your medication information, schedules, and reminders are stored locally on your iPhone using secure iOS storage mechanisms.
No Health Data Transmission: We do not transmit your medication details, health information, or emergency contacts to our servers.

2.2 Cloud Storage (Optional - Coming Soon)

For premium users who enable cloud sync:

Medication data may be encrypted and stored on secure cloud servers to enable sync across devices
Cloud sync is entirely optional and must be explicitly enabled by you
Data is encrypted both in transit and at rest

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

Contacts (Optional): If you choose to use the emergency contact feature, we request permission to access your contacts. Contact information is stored locally and only used to send alerts if you miss critical medications.
App Data Backup: Your medication data may be included in your iCloud or iTunes backups if you have device backups enabled. This is controlled by your iOS settings, not by PillReminder.

6. iOS System Integration

7. App Permissions

PillReminder may request the following iOS permissions:

Notifications: Required to send you medication reminders.
Contacts (Optional): Only if you choose to set up emergency contacts.
Ad Tracking: Used by advertising networks to show relevant ads (Ads can be removed with one time payment).

You can review and modify these permissions at any time in your iOS Settings under PillReminder.

8. Data Security

We take data security seriously and implement appropriate measures to protect your information:

Local Data: Your medication data stored on your device is protected by iOS secure storage mechanisms.
Encryption: Cloud-synced data (premium feature) is encrypted both in transit (using TLS/SSL) and at rest.

Delete: You can delete all local app data by uninstalling PillReminder from your device.
Export (Coming Soon): Premium users may have the ability to export their medication data.
Opt-Out of Ads: Upgrade to the premium version to remove all ads, or limit ad tracking in iOS Settings.
Cloud Sync (Coming Soon): You can disable cloud sync at any time in the app settings.

10. Data Retention

We retain different types of data for different periods:

Local Device Data: Stored on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.

PillReminder is not intended for children under 13 years of age without parental supervision:
